Gourmet for Jay-Z The 22 L “Brooklyn Nets” Edition
West Coast footwear brand Gourmet has unveiled a special sneaker for none other than Jay-Z himself, honoring the Nets’ historic move to Brooklyn. Dressed up in a sleek black colorway with the new Nets logo on the tongue, an all-too-familiar patterned fabric appears on the heel along with Jay-Z’s name. Key detailing comes in the form of tonal laces and expert stitching that gives way to a small “Gourmet” label just above the white soles. While there is no word on a release date, many speculate that the 22 L “Brooklyn Nets” is a one-off edition.

Los Angeles art house Known Gallery recently played host to an exhibition put on by Neff Headwear and The Seventh Letter artist collective. Over 40 street artists from the collective and its associates exhibited work inspired by Sesame Street and its characters, while proceeds from the show benefitted the City of Hope Department of Pediatrics. The exhibition was an eclectic and nostalgic blend of artistic mediums from photography, to graffiti, and tattoo art set to the stylings of this generation’s most iconic childhood characters. The show wrapped up on April 29, but you can still check out a video interview and see some of the work from Axis, one of the exhibition’s artists right here.
